The Department of Physiology is well equipped for teaching both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students. It has excellent success rate in University Examinations (above 95%) This year (2003) it was 98%. The Department is keen in providing research facility for both Post and Undergraduate Students. Students are involved in various innovative teaching methods like Physiology Quiz, Students seminar, Panel Discussions etc. There are programs to provide specialized training for weaker students for improvement.

The Department is unique in that it provides services to the Hospital aimed at patient Care too. It regularly conducts Pulmonary Function tests for patients of our hospital by Manual as well as Computerized Procedures. Screening of Pulmonary function tests of people belonging to various hazardous professions is also a regular service the Department provides.
