The department has approximately 10,000 sq.ft. area with 2 laboratories, one for experimental pharmacology and one for clinical pharmacy which can accommodate 60 students at a time. The department also has 2 demonstration rooms, one research lab and adequate staff chambers.

There is a separate seminar cum library room with 113 books. The staff strength of the department is as per MCI norms. The department has computer and intercom facility. OHP projector / slide projector / LCD projector are also available for the staff to conduct classes.

The department has a drug museum with approximately 700 drug samples and information about them. Museum  also has a cupboard showing the sources of drugs. Charts depicting the mechanism of drug action and uses of drugs are also displayed.

Scientists photos showing their contribution to the development of Pharmacology and Medicine are displayed in Experimental Pharmacology lab. Photos showing drug reactions are displayed in Clinical Pharmacy lab.

The department is fully equipped with all the instruments and equipments required as per the MCI guidelines for UG students. Central animal house has a staff trained at NIN Hyderabad.  The animal house is registered for breeding animals by the Animal Welfare Board, New Delhi. At present animal house has rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice which are kept in separate rooms with adequate ventilation and proper water supply. A veterinary surgeon visits and animal house twice a week.

The Institutional Animal Ethics Committee meets twice a year to discuss  and approve research projects involving animals.
