Activities conducted 

1. 24^th March World TB day was celebrated. Poster presentation was arranged by UG students

2. June 2008—Department organized workshop on Asthma Training module which was attended by Pediatricians of Bijapur and neighboring districts.

3. August 2008 1^st week. Breast feeding week celebration – Symposium on breast feeding for UG and PG students. Poster competition for MBBS and Nursing students.

4. September-2008 1^st week. National nutrition week celebrated. Students participated in preparing Nutrition Exhibition. The same is displayed in the OPD for the benefit of Students and community as well.

Community activities

1.      Health education and free checkup camp at Loyola school Bijapur

2.      Free antihelminthic drug distribution to children on 14^th November on the occasion of Childrens’  day
