The Department of Anatomy, the introductory department to any medical student trains 150 Under Graduates every academic year. 2 Post Graduate Degree students are admitted per year.

The Dissection Theatre, expansive, well lit and well ventilated can accommodate as many as 200 students at a time. The Museum is an extensive collection of models of different organs of the body in both structural as well as functional forms, thus aiding in the study of human body. Many of these models are developed in-house by the modeler employed full time. There are collections of rare specimen in embryology and gross anatomy.

The Department also has a research lab & a Cytogenetic Lab equipped with B.O.D. Incubator, & Trinocular Microscope. The Genetic Counseling Cell of the Department, Post graduates and the Staff conduct research and counseling in these laboratories
