The college has an excellent team of competent, well-qualified teachers with a deep interest in their vocation and extreme commitment to the student fraternity. As a part of the College’s Quality Improvement Programme (QIP), staff is encouraged to pursue higher studies and engage in Research. Seminars, Workshops, formal and informal interactions between students and teaching faculty are a routine part of the learning process in the college. The learning is further accentuated by study tours to industries and guest lectures, which are organized from time to time.




The Central Library of the college has a vast collection of over 21,000 information resources including technical and general volumes, ready references, encyclopedia, theses and others. These resources are upgraded every year and subscriptions are renewed for technical journals of national and international acclaim.




The college has extensive Laboratory and Workshop facilities for all branches of Engineering in tune with the current and future requirements of the curriculum. Besides separate computing and library facilities, each department is supported by the latest and state-of-the-art equipment.




The college has a placement cell under the charge of a placement officer. The cell arranges career guidance programmes for the final year and pre-final year students. This has proved exceptionally useful in shaping Students’ careers. The cell is in continuous touch with prospective employing organizations to arrange campus interviews for the final year students. The Army, Navy and Air force conduct campus interviews for recruiting engineers into their organizations.



   
Apart from imparting excellent technical knowledge to the students, the college encourages co-curricular activities like academic competitions, sports and culture. The college has had the rare privilege of organizing the Karnataka University Inter Collegiate Athletic Sports Meet in 1997, which was acclaimed as one of the best athletic meets under Karnataka University, Dharwad. The students of the College participate in events like projects, seminars, exhibitions, technical paper contests and have won several awards at the state and national levels.




The management has facilities to accommodate about half of its Engineering student population, especially those coming from far off places outside Karnataka. A three-storied hostel for engineering students is constructed in the college campus with adequate water and uninterrupted electricity arrangements. NRI students and girls benefit from separate hostels provided for them.
