       The modern commercial activities of present day society have seen unimaginable changes in the last few decades. Gone are the days where in a small trader would purchase his goods in near by towns and would sell in his village for a small profit. Faster changes in transport and communication and well organized states with their complicated laws to control have affected the trade and commerce so drastically and so fast that this has become extremely complex. Trading no more remained an act of intuition. It is demanding such a thorough insight that the discipline of study of commercial activities has come into existence.

The commercial activity of modern society is getting so complex day by day that it has no more remained at act of intuition. Faster transport and communication and complicated and ever changing state laws have made it still more complex. The knowledge of Trade & Commerce has evolved into a discipline by itself and calls for rigorous formal training.

The commerce division of ASP College of Commerce runs a three years full time program leading to B.Com. Degree awarded by Karnatak University, Dharwad. The program is tailor-made to give a thorough insight into the basics of commerce like Economics, Accountancy, Statistics, Commercial Law, Secretarial Practice, Auditing, Computer Science etc.

Adequate infrastructure, a well planned teaching schedule, experienced and dedicated teachers all aim at imparting thorough knowledge of the discipline of Commerce.

The college keeps abreast of everyday changes too. Thus there will be Seminars, Guest Lectures by eminent scholars and Refresher Courses for Teaching Faculty etc.
